How Closva works

Sell or buy a Norwegian company without putting it on display.

Sellers publish anonymously, with rounded revenue and operating profit visible to help buyers assess the opportunity. Buyers introduce themselves through a buyer profile and sign an NDA if required. Protected details open only after access is granted under the seller’s approval settings.

Two sides of the same listing

A listing looks different depending on where you stand. Here is each side of it.

For sellers

List the company without telling the market it is for sale

  1. 01

    Find your company

Search the Brønnøysund Register and pick the company you own. Closva carries the registered details across so you do not retype them.

  2. 02

    Choose what stays private

Your company name and exact address stay private until access is granted. The latest BRREG revenue and operating profit are shown publicly as rounded figures. Choose whether the asking price and reason for sale are public, available after access, or kept private.

  3. 03

Require an NDA, or do not

If you require one, the buyer signs it digitally before the request reaches you. You can read the exact agreement before you publish.

  4. 04

    Approve the buyers you want

Review each request with the buyer's verified profile in front of you, or approve eligible buyers automatically. Your contact details are released only once you grant access.

For buyers

Reach owners who are not advertising that they are selling

  1. 01

    Build your buyer profile

Build a buyer profile: who you represent, what you are looking for, your budget and how you plan to fund it.

  2. 02

    Get told when something matches

When a new listing fits your acquisition criteria, Closva notifies you — before you go looking for it.

  3. 03

    Request access to the company

Introduce yourself to the seller. If the listing requires an NDA, sign it digitally before your request is sent. Until then, your message stays a private draft.

  4. 04

    See the full picture

Once the seller grants access, the locked fields open, contact details are released and the conversation continues in private Closva messaging.

Confidentiality

What the market sees, and what it does not

Company identity and the exact address stay behind granted access. Rounded revenue and operating profit are public, helping investors assess the business. Sellers choose visibility for the asking price, reason for sale and images.

Public to everyone

  • Industry and county
  • Anonymous headline and summary
  • Number of employees and operating history
  • Key highlights, rounded annual revenue and operating profit, and financial year

After the seller grants access

  • Company name and organization number
  • Exact location
  • Asking price, if the seller reserves it for approved buyers
  • Exact revenue and operating profit, including earlier financial years
  • Contact details for the seller

Employees, customers and competitors see only the public side unless the seller decides otherwise.

Transport

Goods transport company with van licences and a fixed route

Three vans, each with its own national van licence, and a fixed route billing around 250,000 kr a month. The licences and the contract stay with the limited company — sold anonymously, so neither the drivers nor the counterpart knew before the takeover.

Buyer matching

Describe what you are looking for once

Your buyer profile is more than a form. It is the filter Closva runs every new listing against, so the right opportunity finds you instead of the other way round.

  • Set target industries, geographies, budget range and timeline.
  • Get notified the moment a matching company is published.
  • Sellers see your verified profile when you request access. Contact details are shared through the private access process.

Hi Jan Erik! You now have access to the full listing. Just ask if there is anything you are wondering about.

Thanks, Bjørn. Does the company hold a national varebilløyve for each of the three vans, and do they come along in a share sale?

Bjørn Halvorsen

Yes, all three licences are registered to the company and come along — and so does the fixed route contract, which bills around 250,000 a month.

Great. Could you share the accounts for the last two years? Then we can take a call next week.

The whole conversation stays in Closva. Contact details are shared when the seller is ready — not before.

How Closva keeps the process safe

Know who you are talking to

Buyer profiles explain who the buyer represents, their experience, and their plans.

The NDA is signed first

When a listing requires an NDA, the buyer signs it digitally before the seller ever sees the request.

The seller holds the key

Confidential fields and contact details stay locked until the seller grants access to that specific buyer.

Closva is not a party to the deal

Closva provides the platform and the structured process. CLOSVA AS is not a broker, agent or party to a transaction between users.

Common questions

Will people see that my company is for sale?
The public listing does not show your company name, organisation number or exact address. It shows an anonymous description and rounded revenue and operating profit so buyers can assess the opportunity. Company identity is shared only after access is granted.
Do I have to require an NDA?
No. It is your choice per listing. If you require one, the buyer must sign it digitally before the access request reaches you, and you can read the exact agreement before publishing.
How quickly does my listing go live?
Closva reviews every submitted listing before it appears in the marketplace. You are notified when the review is done, and you can keep editing until it is published.
What does it cost?
Contact the Closva team to discuss pricing and access for your needs.
How do I know who I am dealing with?
Buyers name the company they represent, confirm they are authorised to act on its behalf, and describe their budget and funding approach in their buyer profile.
What happens after I grant a buyer access?
The private fields in your listing open for that buyer, the contact details you approved are released, and the two of you continue in private Closva messaging.
Do I have to approve each buyer manually?
No. You can review and approve or decline requests individually, or choose automatic approval for eligible buyers. If you require an NDA, buyers must sign it before their request proceeds.
Is Closva a broker?
No. Closva is operated by CLOSVA AS and provides the platform and the workflow. It is not a broker, agent, financial institution or party to a transaction between users.
Can I bring my own advisor, lawyer or accountant?
Yes. Invite them by email to your listing team. Work together with listing information and private team documents, and choose which buyer conversations to share. You keep control of publishing, payments and buyer approvals.
